How Artist Payouts Work on DogeBeats

How Artist Payouts Work on DogeBeats

Seventy-five percent to the artist. Paid automatically every Friday, straight to your Dogecoin wallet, with a transaction you can look up on a public blockchain explorer. No invoicing, no requesting a withdrawal, no waiting for someone to approve it.

Most platforms are vague about payouts until you are already committed. So here is ours in full, including the threshold, the timing and the one condition that will stop a payment going out.

The split: 75/25

You keep 75% of every sale. DogeBeats keeps 25% to run the marketplace — hosting, file delivery, payment handling, certificate generation and the rest.

That applies to both single track sales and collection sales. There is no different, worse rate for bundles, and no separate processing fee taken off the top before the split. The 75% is calculated on the sale, not on some net figure after deductions we get to define.

The schedule: every Friday, automatically

Payouts run every Friday at midnight UTC, which is 6pm Thursday Central. It is an automated job, not a person working through a queue.

You do not request a payout. You do not submit an invoice. You do not click a withdraw button and wait for review. If you have earnings above the threshold and a wallet address on file, Friday comes and the money moves.

The threshold: 10 DOGE

There is a minimum, and we would rather explain why than bury it.

If your earnings for the period are below 10 DOGE, the payout does not go out that week. It is recorded as pending and your balance carries forward. The following Friday it tries again with the accumulated total, and keeps doing that until you clear the threshold.

The reason is network fees. Every Dogecoin transaction costs something to send. Paying out a tiny balance means the fee eats a meaningful share of a small amount, which serves nobody. Letting it accumulate to at least 10 DOGE means the fee is trivial relative to the payment.

Nothing is lost or forfeited. A pending balance is still your money; it is waiting, not gone. The dashboard shows it so you always know where you stand.

You need a wallet address on file

This is the one condition that will stop a payment. Payouts go to the Dogecoin wallet address on your artist profile. No address, no destination — earnings accumulate but cannot be sent.

Set it when you sign up, and check it. A Dogecoin transaction to a wrong address is not reversible by us or anyone else. That is the same finality that protects you from chargebacks, and it applies to your own typing as well.

Every payout is verifiable on-chain

This is the part that separates it from a number in a dashboard.

Your payout is a real Dogecoin transaction. The dashboard shows the transaction ID with a View on Chain link, so you can open it in a public blockchain explorer and see the amount, the addresses and the time, recorded by a network we do not control.

If a platform tells you that you were paid, you have their word. If a platform hands you a transaction ID on a public ledger, you have proof — and so would anyone else you needed to show it to, including an accountant.

You also get an email when a payout is sent, with the amount and a summary of the earnings behind it.

What the dashboard shows you

Payouts are only useful if you can see what produced them. The artist dashboard tracks:

Total lifetime earnings, and revenue per period. Sales and plays per track. Conversion rate — how many listens turn into purchases, which is the number that actually tells you whether a track is working. Average price and average revenue per song across your catalogue. Likes, dislikes and like ratio. And a full payout history with dates, amounts, status and transaction IDs.

Conversion rate is the one most producers ignore and should not. A track with heavy plays and no sales is telling you something specific, and it is different from what a track with few plays is telling you.

Being straight about the risks

You are paid in Dogecoin. Its value moves. If you hold rather than convert, your earnings can be worth more or less later. That is your call and your risk, and we are not going to advise you on it.

Payouts are irreversible. Once sent, it is sent. Check your wallet address.

Tax still applies. Crypto income is income. Your payouts sit on a public ledger, which is the opposite of hidden, and the dashboard history is there when you need records.

Common questions

When do I get paid for a sale made on Saturday?

The following Friday's run, assuming your balance is at or above 10 DOGE.

What if I never reach 10 DOGE?

It keeps accumulating. There is no expiry on a pending balance.

Can I change my wallet address?

Yes, in your profile. Future payouts go to the new address; anything already sent has already gone.

Do collection sales pay differently?

No. 75% on singles, 75% on collections.
